Lamoda and Chestny Znak signed a cooperation agreement

Online retailer Lamoda signed a cooperation agreement with the Center for the Development of Advanced Technologies (CRPT, operator of the state labeling system “Honest Sign”). The online platform and the operator will cooperate in order to prevent the sale of counterfeit and counterfeit products.

From March 1, 2023, players in the online trading market are required to connect to the “Honest Sign” system and monitor the availability of labels for certain categories of goods if they are sold from the marketplace warehouse. To improve the exchange of information about goods subject to labeling with the CRPT, Lamoda is expanding its interaction with Honest Sign. In addition to integration with Honest Sign, the company connected to the mechanism for processing customer complaints submitted through the labeling system, which was created by the CRPT. The new scheme works like this: after receiving a complaint about a product and confirming it, the operator of the labeling system transmits information, including to the service. The Marketplace conducts an internal audit, based on the results of which it makes a decision on further placement of the goods, without waiting for a response to the complaint from the regulatory authorities.

“The operator records the positive results of the track of work with marketplaces not only in the framework of solving specific problems of specific consumers, but also identifying on their basis and creating comprehensive barriers to counter the circulation of illegal products. In this regard, we are pleased to welcome the inclusion of Lamoda in our work. Let me remind you that such work is already being carried out by Sbermarket, Yandex.Market, and Wildberries. In the near future, agreements are being signed with several more companies. We look forward to the further development of integration and the formation of a unified ecosystem of “space of trust” for buyers on the Internet,” said Anton Gushchansky, Director for Control (Supervisory) Activities of the CRPT.

“Control of the authenticity and quality of goods, working only with trusted suppliers and brands have always been the key competitive advantages of Lamoda as a fashion retailer. From the very beginning of the emergence of labeling mechanisms, we closely interacted with the CRPT so that buyers were completely confident in the reliability of our site. This agreement is a logical continuation and strengthening of our ongoing cooperation with Chestny Znak,” commented Tatyana Zayachkovskaya, Managing Director for Corporate Governance at Lamoda.
