Online marketplace Lamoda, specializing in the sale of fashion, beauty and lifestyle products, announced the launch of a beta version of a visual product search based on artificial intelligence. A smart assistant will allow you to choose clothes and update your wardrobe. The service is available to users of the Lamoda mobile application in Russia.
Visual search is useful for users who have not yet decided what they want to order. The tool assists the user in choosing a product, gradually narrowing down the choice to the most interesting options.
The assistant appears on the product card and inside the Lamoda catalog. To start a visual search, a marketplace user needs to go to a certain category of goods on the online platform - trousers, sneakers and sneakers, bags or another and click on the visual search banner. The service will offer 15 random products, from which the client can choose the ones he likes or click "update" the selection. After each click on the photo, the assistant will give you new options that are visually similar to the previous choice - in color, style, details. After a few clicks, the “go to selection” button will appear, where artificial intelligence will generate a unique offer for the client. If it doesn't fit, you can go back, edit your selection, or start a new visual search.
The online service was created on the principle of games in which words are guessed in several moves. The service can also become entertainment for fashion lovers and online shopping.

At the same time, they understand how the thing looks visually, but do not know how to search for it correctly.
