In the first weeks of July the company "Mila" - Wholesale Shoes "recorded a decrease in sales of school shoes wholesale, which was minus 38% compared to the same period in 2011. Interest in demi-season collections dropped by 52%.
Specialists from the Urals wholesaler report that this situation is a result of last year’s failure of consumer demand, which resulted in large remnants of school and demi-season shoes in all parts of the distribution chain. Nevertheless, it is obvious that these stocks are not enough to cover the current demand, so replenishing the assortment with fresh models remains relevant, given that there is not enough time before the onset of the season.
“So far, only large stores buy school shoes in bulk at strategic requests from presentations. The owners of small outlets are not very active. This speaks of the delayed demand, which means that seasonal races for the goods are inevitable, "said the manager of Mila - wholesale footwear" Alexander Borodin.
