Louis Vuitton unveiled a collection of futuristic shoes.
Last week, French luxury brand Louis Vuitton presented its Resort 2027 collection in New York. The pop art-inspired collection, inspired by the work of American artist Keith Haring, featured vibrant colors and futuristic designs.
The runway featured several variations of a sneaker-boot combo: flats, chunky heels, ruffles, and Haring's signature designs. The shoes, with uppers crafted from individual strips of leather with piping, resembled boxing boots.
Many of the designs were metallic, some were solid, others were color-blocked.
The strips of leather were often curved and arranged in sections that contrasted with each other, creating a striking linear effect.
Some sneaker-boots had laces, others did not. Colors ranged from black to silver, hot pink to vibrant ruby red, and multicolored floral patterns. One model was adorned with Keith Haring's signature dancing figures.
