French luxury brand Louis Vuitton continues to build on the legacy of Virgil Abloh, the talented designer who founded Off-White and has been the creative director of the luxury house's menswear line since 2018, who passed away last November.
In addition to the design of the recognized fashion master, the new Louis Vuitton sneakers are notable for being made from 90% recycled and natural materials. The outsole and insole are made from recycled polyurethane. The upper is made from a blend of recycled polyester and corn-based plastic. The laces are made from recycled plastic, the tongue is made from recycled polyester, and the eyelets are made from 91% recycled polyurethane.
Sneakers came in three color options, in combinations of white with green, red or black. The main design element was the transformed LV corporate logo, which conveys the idea of sustainability.
The LV Trainer in green and white is already available in Louis Vuitton boutiques around the world, while the other two colorways will be available from September.
