Manolo Blahnik reports growth in sales and profits in 2022

British luxury footwear and accessories brand Manolo Blahnik achieved “record financial results” in 2022 and thanked its employees by distributing more than €1 million in bonuses last November, writes Worldfootwear.com.

In 2022, group sales reached €118,2 million, reflecting a 69% increase from the €69,9 million recorded a year earlier, while its pre-tax profit more than tripled to €21,9 million from 6,6 million euros in 2021. In addition, the group's operating profit for the full year increased fivefold year-on-year to €23,7 million from €4,6 million in the previous financial year.

Sharp growth was seen across all sales channels, with store traffic returning to pre-pandemic levels and e-commerce sales up 24% year over year. Manolo Blahnik also benefited from the opening of two US boutiques last year.

“In 2022, we saw another record financial result for the Manolo Blahnik Group, with sales across all our channels growing very strongly and firmly strengthening our position in the US market,” commented Manolo Blahnik CEO Christina Blahnik.

To celebrate sales exceeding €100 million for the first time in the brand's history, the company shared an unprecedented bonus of over €1 million with its employees last November.
