As part of a recent partnership with Preciosa, a producer of Bohemian crystal, Manolo Blahnik has launched a limited edition series of Hangisi shoes decorated with dozens of crystals. In addition, exquisite Czech lace became another decor in the design of the new shoes. The type of lace Blanik chose is from 1900. It was performed by lace master Vera Kholomechkova from the Higher School of Professional Textile Crafts and the Art School of Textile Crafts of Prague.
“Working with impeccable Czech lace and Preciosa crystals, I began to appreciate my Czech roots even more,” the designer admitted.
