The popular Brazilian brand Melissa, which produces lightweight shoes made of rubberized plastic, launches the Miniatures Design Collection, a line of miniature models for collectors. Small shoes and sandals completely repeat the key Melissa models of recent years, including those created in collaboration with renowned designers, artists and architects.
The collection includes works by the Campana brothers - Campana Zig Zag - ballet flats made of intertwined plastic threads, which became a hit last summer; Melissa High drop-heels by Karim Rashid, aerodynamic shoes by architect Zaha Hadid, and transforming boots designed in 2011 by Gaetano Pesce.
“This project was born out of Melissa's deep love for every collaboration created in its 35-year history,” said Edson Matsuo, Creative Director of the brand. - To celebrate the famous models created in partnership with famous designers, we decided to play with the alchemy of plastic and try ourselves in a new dimension for the first time. Made in miniature, the models acquired a new sound and became small masterpieces, especially for our fans. "
