From October 2 to 4, Moscow will host the international forum of business on franchising, investment and partnership opportunities BUYBRAND Expo. The largest forum in Eastern Europe on this topic will bring together experts, representatives of large business and government agencies to discuss issues related to the prospects and problems of the development of franchising in the Russian Federation, its role in small and medium enterprises. Also, the forum will host seminars focused on practical issues in business management.
On October 2, the Russian Franchising Association celebrates its 15th anniversary. Summing up the results of the work done and defining plans for the future will take place during the open plenary session "Franchising for the development of megacities and regional economies". The meeting will be opened by Merab Ben-El (Elashvili), President and Chairman of the RAF Board of Directors, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of “G.M.R. Planet of Hospitality ”and Andrey Sharonov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy. Speakers include: Alexander Shokhin, President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs; Alexander Brechalov, President of the all-Russian public organization OPORA RUSSIA; Andrew Somers, President of the American Chamber of Commerce. During the second session of the plenary session devoted to franchising in the system of development priorities for small and medium-sized enterprises, Natalya Larionova, Director of the Department for the Development of Small and Medium Enterprises of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, Alexey Komissarov, Head of the Department of Science, Industrial Policy and Entrepreneurship of Moscow, will make reports and Sergey Borisov, vice president of Sberbank of Russia. The plenary meeting will end with a conference on the provision of services and various types of support for SMEs in the regions based on the principles of the franchising methodology in Moscow.
The special guest of the first day of the forum - the legend of Russian franchising Rostislav Ordovsky-Tanaevsky Blanco, founder and president of the Rostik Group corporation - will speak with an inspiring success story about how his restaurant empire, Rosinter Restaurants Holding, was created. This holding ”today manages the largest chains of family restaurants IL Patio, Planeta Sushi, TGIFriday's, Costa Coffee and others in Russia, the CIS, the Baltic States and Europe.
During the three days of the forum, it will be possible to learn about current trends in the economy, obtain information on the possibilities of public-private partnerships using specific business cases, understand the nuances of drawing up a commercial concession agreement, learn about the principles of franchising in the hotel business, and gain general knowledge in areas of marketing and financial asset management.
