In 2013, Mila sold more than 10 thousand pairs of Zebra winter footwear in bulk, which is four times more than in previous seasons. So, in 2012 the volume of sales in the same group of goods was 2715 pairs, and in 2010 - about 4000.
“It is obvious that such a sharp jump in sales cannot be explained by the increased demand for winter shoes this season, as the average decline was observed in the group. The main reason we see that “Zebra” introduced a fundamentally new collection of shoes for the season “Winter 2013”. Beautiful casual shoes, high fur boots and "low boots" literally attracted buyers. In addition, new people came to the management of Fortis, which represents the Zebra brand on the market, who are well aware of the prospect of increasing sales through distribution, ”said Alexander Borodin, manager of Mila Wholesale Shoes.
However, against the background of the general positive, there are a few comments. “High boots and“ low boots ”appeared with narrow tops. Sales volumes for them fell short of expectations. As a result, instead of the planned 15 thousand pairs, they managed to sell all 4 thousand. To stimulate sales, I had to resort to a markdown at the end of the season, as the declared value was clearly higher than the price that the buyer agrees. As a result, revealed during the markdown period, the market value of high boots turned out to be equal to 1270 rubles against 1585 declared by Zebra, and the “low boots” 1011 rubles against 1100, respectively. “Now the season of winter shoes in retail is in full swing and it is already possible to take stock of the quality: there are practically no returns. The quality of these shoes is exceptional, ”added Alexander Borodin.
