The Ministry of Industry and Trade proposes to discuss the draft Strategy for the development of electronic commerce in Russia

The website of the Ministry of Industry and Trade announced an open discussion of the draft strategy for the development of electronic commerce in Russia until 2025.

Proposals for the development of electronic commerce in the Russian Federation were prepared by the project team for the development of Internet commerce in the Russian Federation. The group included representatives of the business community and industry associations.

To organize the procedure for public discussions of the project, virtual expert platforms were organized on the official websites of the associations that took part in the development of the project. Among them are the Association of Internet Trade Companies: akit.ru, the National Association of Distance Selling: namo.ru, the Association of Electronic Trading Platforms: aetp.ru, the Russian Association of Electronic Communications: raec.ru.

Duration of the discussion: from October 18, 2017 to November 18, 2017.

According to the statistics provided in the document, in Russia, the segment of Internet commerce accounts for 3-4% of the total retail turnover. In 2016, its growth was 15% -20%, while the total retail turnover fell by 4,6%.
