The production of light industry products in January-October 2021 by the corresponding period of 2020 showed a noticeable growth by type of activity, - such positive dynamics was noted by the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Viktor Yevtukhov at the conference “The Future of the Light Industry - behind modernized digital production ".
“The production of light industry products in January-October 2021 compared to the corresponding period of 2020 by type of activity showed a rather noticeable growth. For example, the production of textiles has grown by almost 9%, the production of clothing has grown by almost 4%, and the production of leather and leather goods has grown by almost 11,5%, "said Viktor Evtukhov.
According to the Deputy Minister, in the reporting period, the volume of consumption of light industry products in the domestic market also increased, amounting to almost 1,4 trillion rubles, which is more than 5% higher than the level of the corresponding period of 2020. At the same time, the volume of shipped goods of own production of the light industry in January-October 2021 amounted to 504,5 billion rubles. or 120,0% of the shipment volume in the same period in 2020.
Viktor Evtukhov called the creation of his own production facilities for synthetic fiber and products based on it as a strategic direction in the development of the light industry in Russia. He noted that enterprises in Russia are already producing plastic bottles and films from primary PET raw materials. In this regard, the production of threads and fibers can also develop, subject to the availability of potential demand for these products in the market.
Currently, the SIBUR holding and the BOSCO company are planning to create a textile cluster in one of the regions of our country. The possibility of reorienting the existing production capacities for the production of 100 thousand tons per year of polyester yarns and fibers or creating a new plant with a production capacity of up to 250 thousand tons per year is being considered.
