The first days of Moscow Fashion Week were marked by a show by the Moscow brand of hand-knitted items Vereja, which was attended by a large number of socialites.
Products from the new Vereja collection called “Web of Patterns” were demonstrated by journalist Ksenia Sobchak, founder of the KM20 concept store Olga Karput, buyer and host of “Fashion Sentence” Liliya Rakh and others.
But the Vereja fashion show is interesting not only because of the participation of socialites. It is just a demonstration of the fact that the brand, founded by stylist Igor Andreev, is recognized and loved, including by the country's top fashionistas.
Almost the entire collection of shoes at the Vereja show, with the exception of two pairs of shoes, was created by the brand's team. Including three boots made of bronze leather and lace, as well as slippers and sandals with crocheted and macramé uppers.
The founder of the brand, Igor Andreev, admitted that he plans to release an accessory drop in May-June and add shoes to it.
"This will be the first test for now, let's see how our customers will perceive it. Now there are many questions related to where to get the sole, how to work with sizes, and so on. Our debut collection includes fluffy slippers, bronze sandals, and my favorite lace boots with heels. It takes about 5 hours to create one pair. Knitting shoes is very difficult, especially in the place where the thread touches the sole," the designer shared.
