According to "Kommersant" with reference to the Shopping Index of the analytical company Watcom Group, in the last three weeks, the attendance of shopping centers in the capital has shown a steady positive trend.
For the first time since the beginning of the year, the Shopping Index in Moscow was below the pre-crisis level of 2019 by less than 15%. So, on March 29 - April 4, the gap was 11,4%, on April 5-11, the difference leveled off to 7,9%, and on April 12-18 - 14,9%. Previously, the fall in the Shopping Index was estimated at 20-30%.
SEC owners and representatives of non-food retail also note an increase in attendance. Consumer activity is primarily associated with the upcoming May holidays and the imminent onset of warm weather.
Some retail chains also recorded an increase in revenue compared to the same period in 2019 - up to 10%.
