The London luxury brand of shoes and leather accessories announced the launch of a joint project with the Japanese brand Onward Global Fashion, writes worldfootwear.com.
The two companies will create a joint venture Mulberry Japan, headquartered in Tokyo, on the terms of ownership in the ratio of 50 to 50. The new company will engage in the development of retail brands, as well as digital and omni-chanel in Japanese.
This information followed the recent announcement of the establishment of Mulberry Asia, whose majority shareholder is Challice, for development in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
Mulberry CEO Thierry Andretta confirmed the company's plans for development in Japan. He noted that Mulberry will continue to explore key international luxury goods markets without stopping its efforts to strengthen its position in the UK.
Currently, Mulburry branded stores are open in 26 countries around the world. In Russia, brand products are presented on the Bosco website, which is the official representative of Mulberry in Russia.
