GDS will select the most creative young shoe designers

The most creative designers will be honored with special prizes at the upcoming international footwear exhibition GDS, which will be held from 14 to 16 March 2012. For the second time, the federal union, in cooperation with GDS, will present the award to the best shoe manufacturer, as well as the HDS Junior Award to the best young designer. The HDS Junior Award 2012 motto is “Hightech meets Fashion”.

These prizes will be awarded by the Ministry of Economy, Environment, Energy and State Planning of the Rhineland-Palatinate. Deutsche Schuhpreis will be able to participate in the German manufacturers, whose shoes are already sold in stores or are planned to go on sale.

The HDS Junior Award can be attended by young designers of any origin, including students of European schools studying design. Winner will be determined by upscale experts. Each prize is 2.500 euros. Applications for participation are accepted until February 1 2012, designs and models of shoes must be sent before February 15 2012 to the HDS office in Offenbach.
