Logo will be applied to Ukrainian shoes
To inform consumers about the high quality of their products, Ukrainian footwear manufacturers are planning to start applying a special logo with the inscription "Manufacturer with a reliable reputation" this spring, President, Head of the Board of the League "Ukrkozhobuvprom", President of the Association "Ukrkozhprom" Oleksandr Borodynya told LIGABusinessInform.
So, the Shoe League is initiating the creation of an association of Ukrainian shoe manufacturers who can guarantee the high quality of their products. According to him, this inscription can be applied only to those that will meet certain requirements put forward by the Ukrkozhobuvprom League.
The criteria for selecting enterprises to participate in the program are:
- the use of high-quality materials and components, including natural materials for upper shoes that meet hygiene requirements;
- implementation of continuous production control;
- marking of shoes: "Zrobleno in Ukraine";
- participation in leading shoe exhibitions in Ukraine and abroad;
- use of your own registered logo for at least 3 years;
- the price level is not lower than the level of "average +";
- a positive assessment of the quality of shoes by other manufacturers and sellers of shoes (evaluation criterion).
Interested enterprises, which, according to Borodyn, are already 24 today, will pass an assessment of compliance with the above criteria. In the case of a positive assessment, the company will receive the right to use the logo.
During the agreement, the project initiators promise to monitor products that are sold on the market with a special logo, including examination of samples purchased at retail, as well as monitoring the legality of the use of the special logo by enterprises that do not have a legal right to do so.
According to expert data of Oleksandr Borodyny, only about 25% of the Ukrainian footwear market falls on domestic products, the rest - on imports. At the same time, the lion's share of imported products is sold in Ukraine under the guise of one that is made of genuine leather.
