Largest duty-free shopping complex opens on Hainan Island

In China, on the island of Hainan in the city of Haikou, the world's largest duty-free shop has opened. The complex was built by China Duty Free Group (CDFG) and is located on the west coast of Haikou, next to Xinhai Port, a major transportation hub, and has a total building area of ​​280 square meters, writes Worldfootwear.com

The mall features over 800 brands and over 50 concept stores with the latest designs. Luxury brands include Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga, Bottega Veneta, Burberry, Moncler, Prada and YSL. In addition, more niche international luxury brands such as Ami Paris, Christian Louboutin, Maison Margiela and Thom Browne are expected to join them, according to Forbes.

It is expected that the Haikou International Duty Free Complex will also attract foreign consumers and contribute to making Hainan an international center for consumer tourism.

This shopping complex is part of the Haikou International Duty-Free City project, which covers an area of ​​about 930 square meters.
