Applications for participation in the fifth Moscow Fashion Week have begun
Designers will show their new collections, exchange experiences, discuss global trends and will be able to agree on joint projects.
The fifth Moscow Fashion Week will be held in the capital from August 28 to September 2. Its main venue will be Zaryadye Park. Industry representatives from all over Russia and other countries are invited to join. Applications will be accepted until May 20. the official website, said Natalya Sergunina, Deputy Mayor of Moscow.
"During the fashion week, designers will show their new collections, exchange experiences, discuss global trends and will be able to agree on launching joint projects. For Muscovites and tourists, experts will prepare lectures and master classes," said Natalia Sergunina.
The brands to participate will be determined by the jury. The selection criteria include the originality of the idea, concept, commercial potential and the possibility of serial production. Over the first four seasons, Moscow Fashion Week attracted more than 800 designers.
Traditionally, an open market will be open for visitors. Everyone will be able to buy domestic accessories and clothes.
In addition, the World Fashion Shorts short film festival will be held for residents and guests of the capital. Viewers will see films by Russian and foreign directors.
The fourth Moscow Fashion Week took place from March 13 to 18 this year. Brands from 27 regions of Russia and nine other countries presented their collections.
The event is organized by the Fashion Fund with the support of the Moscow Government.
