According to the “Business plan for a children's shoe store (with a financial model)” by Intesco Research Group, the volume of production of children's shoes with leather upper in Russia in 2009-2010 increased at an increasing rate. If in 2010 compared to 2009 the growth was 2,5%, then in 2011 production increased by 16,4% and exceeded 8,9 million pairs.
The leader among the federal districts in the structure of the Russian production of children's shoes with leather upper in 2011 was the Central Federal District. The Volga Federal District took second place with a share of 1,5 times less than the gross output of the leader’s shoes. In the Ural Federal District, 2,9 times less than in the Volga Federal District. The shares of the remaining federal districts are less significant.
In the regional structure of Russian production of children's footwear, more than 20% of production is concentrated in the Moscow region. In the Republic of Bashkortostan, 17% of footwear was produced, and the manufacturers of the Chelyabinsk, Kursk regions and the city of St. Petersburg accounted for 27% of the total production of children's shoes with leather upper, reports RBC.Research of markets.
