Russia remains the main foreign market for the Italian brand of shoes and accessories NeroGiardini, so investments in the crisis will only increase, said brand founder and CEO Enrico Bracalente during the announcement of the financial results of the 2014 year.
Bag Spa, which owns the NeroGiardini brand, ended the reporting period with a 6% increase in turnover to € 204 million. At the same time, the share of exports increased to 20%, having doubled over the past two years, primarily due to high sales of footwear, accessories and a younger line - clothing - in Russia.
“We believe in the potential of the Russian market,” Bracalente said, “and are planning significant investments to reduce the delivery time of our products to Russian customers. At the same time, the advertising budget will be increased. Russia is experiencing the fallout of the ruble, the tense situation in Ukraine, and diplomatic disagreements with the European Union. But I am sure that it is at this moment that you need to invest. "
According to Bracalente, the company aims to increase turnover in Russia to 20 million euros from the current 15 already in the 2016 year. This will be facilitated by the opening of our own warehouse in Moscow, planned for the summer, which will allow us to deliver goods more quickly to multi-brand networks, which are the main sales channel for the brand throughout the country, and will also help Russian customers avoid the consequences of possible currency fluctuations during the season.
