Nigeria strengthens its position in the leather industry

The federal government of Nigeria is actively supporting the country's leather production. As part of this program, the Nigerian Institute of Leather Science and Technology (NILEST) has recently been opened, writes worldfootwear.com.

Today it is the only institution in the country engaged in the training of mid-level personnel in the leather subsector. Government representatives present at the opening of the institute confirmed their intention to take serious steps to develop leather production in the country, in their opinion, this will help accelerate the process of industrialization of Nigeria.
