Nike Unveils Financial Results for 4 Quarter

The world's largest manufacturer of sports products Nike Inc. increased net profit in the fourth fiscal quarter by 24% to 865 million dollars, compared with 698 million dollars received for the same period a year earlier.

The indicator increased due to sales growth in almost all regions.

Revenue increased by 4,8% - up to 7,78 billion dollars against 7,43 billion dollars a year earlier. Excluding the appreciation of the US dollar, the increase was 13%.

Nike's fourth-quarter profitability improved to 46,2% compared to 45,6% a year earlier, mainly due to higher prices.

Orders for the company's products in June-November increased by 2%. Excluding changes in exchange rates, the increase in future deliveries is 13%, including in North America - by 13%, in Western Europe - by 14%, in China - by 22% and in emerging markets - by only 2%.
