Christian Louboutin has released an incredibly elegant collection, each pair of which can be called a work of art. A limited collection of men's and women's shoes was created in collaboration with Indian fashion designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Footwearnews writes.
One look of this magnificent shoe speaks for itself; it was made using hand-embroidered sari fabrics from the Sabyasachi Mukherjee archives. Other details of the collection include patchwork fabrics with motifs of different colors and fancy patterns, as well as Christian Louboutin's signature staves. The collection features 12 female models, including boots, platform shoes, sneakers for women, as well as loafers and high sneakers for men.
For the first time, both designers worked together at 2015 for the Sabyasachi fashion show in Mumbai; for the Indian show, Louboutin designed shoes and bags. Another collaboration of designers in the fashion show was in 2016 year. Then Louboutin visited the archives of the fabrics of his Indian colleague in his house in Calcutta and was delighted with the beauty of the embroidered sarees, where he came up with the idea to create a collection of shoes from these fabrics, and now we can see the result.
“The level of craftsmanship in India is the highest in the world. I would like the whole world to appreciate it, just like me, ”said Christian Louboutin.
Rare collection models will be sold in only eight boutiques located in different countries of the world.
