Previously, due to the lack of structured warehouse space, it was almost impossible to do this operation. As a result, illiquid positions and non-growth were identified. Today, thanks to IT-transformations, which began a year ago, these products are offered to the attention of buyers of children's shoes in bulk in the sections "Re-grade" and "Special offers" on the TM "Kotofey" website. The markdown will free up storage facilities from non-growth and illiquid assets and will return significant amounts to the manufacturer's turnover. Retail store owners, in turn, have the opportunity to purchase goods at reduced prices.
“This step of the management of“ Yegoryevsk Obuv ”is revolutionary, since earlier the factory rarely fought against illiquid assets by way of markdowns. We hope that with the introduction of targeted storage at the warehouse, activities in this direction will become systematic, daily, and only highly liquid goods will be offered to the market. With regard to non-growth, the sale of footwear by one pair leads to higher costs and extends the sales period for years. Instead of trading “one pair at a time,” it would be more efficient to pack the non-growth into full-fledged assorted boxes, assign barcodes to them, set a market price and publish them in the “Specials” section. Such an approach will allow us to get rid of non-growth in record time, since distributors whose minimum shipping rate is equal to one box will be able to become an additional sales channel for products, ”said Alexander Borodin, manager of Mila - wholesale footwear.
