New Prada nylon bags made from recycled plastic

The luxury brand Prada supported the trend towards respect for nature and launched the Re-nylon project, in which several models of nylon bags made from recycled plastic waste and textile fiber were released.

Econyl Nylon, which became the basis for the new collection, is an innovative partnership between Prada and Aquafil, a manufacturer of textile yarn, obtained from recycling plastic waste from ocean litter, fishing nets and textile fiber. Econyl yarn can be recycled without loss of quality.

According to Prada brand representatives, the company aims to replace all Prada nylon with the new Econyl nylon by the end of 2021.

The Prada Re-Nylon collection includes six classic models designed for both men and women: a shoulder bag, a shoulder bag, a tote bag, a duffle bag and two Prada backpacks.
