Approximately ten days after announcing the departure of Ludovic de Saint-Sernin, the creative director of Ann Demeulemeester, the Antonioli Group, which owns the luxury brand, has found a replacement for the departed head within the company, writes fashionmagazine.it.
The new creative director of Ann Demeulemeester is 27-year-old Stefano Gallici, who previously worked as a menswear designer for the brand for three years. His first collection as creative director will be presented on September 30 at Paris Fashion Week.
Prior to joining the Antonioli Group, Gallici was an assistant to designer Haider Ackermann in Antwerp. Fashion house owner Claudio Antonioli notes the designer's good understanding of the brand's DNA. “He immediately showed great creativity and a clear vision for Ann Demeulemeester's style,” he says.
Since 2013, designer Anne Demeulemeister, part of the famous Antwerp Six of Designers, who founded her own brand in 1985, has moved away from fashion, she has chosen to devote herself entirely to her line of ceramic items for the home, Dé Tableware. Two years later, the Ann Demeulemeester brand was acquired by Antonioli's Dreamers Factory, which is a major retailer with stores in Milan, Turin, Lugano and Ibiza and its own online trading platforms.
