After retiring from the post of creative director of the French fashion house Céline, Phoebe Failo, the owner of the fashion house, LVMH invited the former Saint Laurent designer Edie Slimane to this post.
In February, Slimane will assume the duties of creative director, art director and image director of the brand. He will also be involved in all Céline collections, including the launch of the men's, perfume and couture lines.
The head of LVMH, Bernard Arnaud, called Slimane one of the most talented designers of our time: “I have been an admirer of his work since we collaborated for Dior Homme. He brought the brand the approval of critics around the world in 2000's, ”he said.
From 2012 to 2016, Edie Slimane was the creative director of Saint Laurent Fashion House.
