The Government approved the postponement of the introduction of mandatory labeling of shoes. Information on the decision to postpone the introduction of mandatory labeling of shoes in the Russian Federation appeared today on the portal of the Government of Russia.
The changes that were made to the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of July 5, 2019 No. 860 establish a new date for the introduction of mandatory marking of shoes in Russia - from July 1, 2020.
The ban on the production, import and wholesale and retail trade of unlabeled footwear will come into effect on July 1, 2020.
According to the document, marking of the remains of shoes made or acquired before March 1, 2020, can be carried out before September 1. Import of goods purchased before March 1, 2020 is possible without labeling until August 1, 2020.
Virtually all key dates for the introduction of mandatory labeling have been postponed for another 4 months. It is worth noting that the introduction of mandatory shoe marking in Russia from July 1 also means that shoes can be traded using the UTII tax regime until July 1.
Also, a paragraph has been added to the document establishing the rule for the free issuance of marking codes for product balances put into circulation before March 1, 2020.
