New Stockmann department store opened in St. Petersburg

A new Stockmann department store has opened on the site of the former H&M store in the Zhemchuzhnaya Plaza shopping center in St. Petersburg. The store occupied an area of ​​1,8 thousand square meters. m. The new store will be the second point of the Stockmann chain in the Northern capital. Another department store of the network has been operating in the Nevsky Center shopping center for many years.

By the end of the year, another Stockmann department store is scheduled to open in the city in the Mega Dybenko shopping center.

Stockmann is actively expanding its retail network. In 2023, a new department store of the chain opened in Sochi and four department stores were opened in Moscow (in Mega Teply Stan, Columbus, VEGAS Crocus City and VEGAS Kuntsevo).

In April, the retailer announced plans to open 16 new department stores in different cities of the country by the end of the year. In particular, openings are planned in Krasnoyarsk and Perm, where the retailer has not been presented before. The total investment in the development of the network will be about 3 billion rubles.

The Finnish department store chain Stockmann has been operating in Russia since 1989. The department stores present collections of clothes, shoes and accessories of foreign brands. In 2015, the Russian part of the business was bought out by Yakov Panchenko's Reviva Holdings Ltd. According to the Company's RBC, in 2022, JSC Stockmann's revenue amounted to 9,59 billion rubles, net profit - 533,28 million rubles. Over the past year, the network has significantly improved its financial performance, in 2021, revenue was at the level of 8,4 billion rubles, net profit - 104,7 million rubles.
