The volume of imports of children's shoes to Russia in the first quarter of 2023 decreased by 14% year-on-year

According to the Globus VED analytical report, in the first quarter of 2023, Russia imported children's shoes in the amount of 5,3 billion rubles, which is 14% less than the volume of imports of children's shoes in the same period in 2022, when the volume of imports of children's shoes was 6,2 billion rubles.

During the year there was a noticeable rotation of importers of children's shoes. Currently, 539 companies are engaged in the import of children's shoes, of which 68 companies are new players. After the events of 2022, 384 companies importing children's shoes left the Russian market. The top five importers of children's shoes include OOO Sportaster, Kari, OTT, House of Clothes, Flo Obuv Ru.

The top five countries of suppliers of children's shoes to Russia are: China, Vietnam, Italy, Indonesia Myanmar. China occupies a leading position, this country accounts for more than 76% of exports of children's shoes to Russia. It is followed by Vietnam with a share of 12,28%.
