2022 proved to be a favorable year for Italy's Vibram Group, with the company increasing sole sales by over 50% to almost 320 million euros. This is a new all-time high for the Italian group, which coincided with a new peak in production, which reached 2022 million pairs of rubber soles in 45.
One of the next projects of the Vibram Group, which employs 280 people in Italy and 820 people worldwide, is the production of the entire sole of a shoe, not just its outer part. The project, which has already been implemented in China, will soon be launched in Italy, thanks to the group's recent partnership with a Venetian sole factory.
“We believe this is the right way to achieve a higher share of added value,” explains Vibram Group CEO Paolo Manuzzi. “To run this line, we will have to hire about ten people and invest at least a million euros in equipment.” Manuzzi also plans to expand his own brand of shoes in order to double the group's current revenue of 18 million euros.
