The Magazin Magazinov company has updated the rating of Russian cities with a population of over one million in terms of the level of provision of the population with high-quality retail space in 2014. Thus, Voronezh dropped one more point, swapping places with Samara, and Ufa entered the Top 5. Last year's leader, Yekaterinburg, retained its place.
“Yekaterinburg retained its leadership in the rating, thanks to the commissioning of the 4th stage of the Greenwich shopping center (72 sq m). Ufa grew at the expense of the Arkada shopping center (4 thousand sq m), and Samara - thanks to Ambar (45 thousand sq m), - commented Andrey Vasyutkin, head of the research and consulting department at Magazin Magazinov. - In Novosibirsk, the opening of the next landmark object - "Gallery Novosibirsk" with a leasable area of 90 thousand square meters took place, which increased the level of provision of the city with high-quality retail space, although it did not affect the position of the city in the rating. "
Experts do not include Moscow and St. Petersburg in the overall ranking of cities with a population of over one million, as the population in the capitals is too different from other cities, which makes it impossible to make an objective comparison.
