The turnover of online stores in the Russian Federation grew by 25%

In 2013, Russian online stores sold goods and services worth 520 billion rubles. This is 25% more than in 2012, ”said Boris Ovchinnikov, one of the leaders of the DataInsight research company during a meeting of the Distance Trade Association.

During 2013, online purchases were made by 30% more Russians - up to 30 million people. The main increase in customers comes from the regions: up to 70% of new customers live outside of Moscow. According to Ovchinnikov’s forecast, in 2014 the growth of the material sales market in ruble terms will reach 450 billion rubles.
