“Obuv Rossii” will expand its network in the Volga Federal District in 2,5 times

In 2011-2012, Obuv Rossii will expand its network in the Volga Federal District by 2,5 times and open more than 25 stores, investing over 130 million rubles. Recently the Obuv Rossii company opened the second Westfalika store in Nizhny Novgorod. This year Obuv Rossii has already entered such new cities of the Volga Federal District as Kazan, Izhevsk, Kirov, Berezniki. By the end of 2012, the network of shoe stores in the Volga Federal District will have about 45 stores (now there are 18 of them).

Nizhny Novgorod is the largest city in the Volga Federal District, with a population of over 1,2 million. More than 40 shoe chains are represented in this city, more than half of the market is occupied by federal players. The level of competition is above the average level in Russia, which indicates the attractiveness of the market in terms of the development of shoe retail.

The Volga Federal District is one of the priorities for the development of the network for the next four years. Nizhny Novgorod is the eighth city in the Volga Federal District, on the market of which “Obuv Rossii” entered. Now the Shoe of Russia network in this region has 18 Westfalika stores in cities such as Cheboksary, Yoshkar-Ola, Perm, Berezniki, Izhevsk, Kazan, Kirov, Nizhny Novgorod.

This year, the company has already opened 9 new stores in the cities of the Volga Federal District, including 3 Westfaliki in Kazan and Izhevsk. In the second half of the 2011 year and the 2012 year, the network growth will be primarily associated with the opening of Westfalika stores in large cities of the okrug: by the end of the 2012 year, there will be 10 outlets in Nizhny Novgorod and Kazan.

Entering new regions is the implementation of the development program for the Shoe of Russia network until the 2015 of the year. The company plans to expand its network to 450 outlets (now there are 140) and increase net revenue to 7,5 billion rubles (according to 2010 results, 1,6 billion rubles).

Obuv Rossii Group of Companies is a federal shoe retail company, one of the ten largest shoe retailers in Russia. It is developing two networks - Westfalika (single brand, mid-price segment) and Pedestrian (economy network), as well as the brand of inexpensive youth shoes Emilia Estra. To date, the company's 140 stores operate in 46 cities throughout Russia. The net revenue of Shoe of Russia in 2010 amounted to 1,6 billion rubles. The credit rating of Expert RA is B ++. Obuv Rossii became the laureate of the “Company of the Year-2010” award in the nomination “For Contribution to the Development of the Retail Market”.
