Salomon collaborated with Tokyo-based designer Uchida "Uchi" Ryunosuke to create the perfect footwear for the garden. Uchi reimagined the Salomon RX Slide recovery shoe, creating a new design inspired by the meditative atmosphere of Japanese gardens.
The RX-Enro Uchi features a breathable 3D mesh upper with a gradient transition from green to brown. The soft mesh is complemented by a denser, high-quality green suede with a nap, and the flat sole has been updated for a more minimalist look than the typical RX Slide.
The laceless design makes these shoes especially suitable for garden use, while the Water ContraGrip outsole provides traction on slippery surfaces.
According to Salomon, the collaboration's minimalist design is meant to "embody the tranquility of everyday life and a close connection with nature." The pair retails for $120.
