Obuv Rossii will serve Ozon customers

Obuv Rossii Group of Companies and Ozon Internet company have entered into a partnership agreement, according to which the service of issuing orders of the Ozon.ru online platform will work in the regional retail of the holding

Ozon's points of order are opened primarily in Westfalika stores of the Obuv Rossii Group of Companies main retail chain. The service is already available at 97 outlets in the cities of Siberia and the Far East. By the end of August, 30 points will open in these regions, and by the end of the 2019 year, the number of points with Ozon points of order will increase at least 3,5 times, according to a press release from Russian Shoes. In the Shoe stores of Russia, Ozon customers can receive and pay for online orders, as well as return goods. 

“We are pleased to cooperate with the Ozon Internet platform, one of the leaders in the Russian online trading market. By connecting new partners to the project “Points of delivery of orders”, we increase the traffic of our stores, increase the loyalty of regular customers and attract new ones. People appreciate the fact that in our stores you can use the modern service - pick up the ordered goods, pay for them in any convenient way and try on if necessary, ”commented Natalya Kulikova, head of the financial services group of Obuv Rossii GK.  

Ozon management notes that, thanks to a partnership agreement with Russian Shoes, Ozon can instantly expand its network of points of delivery in the regions by several hundred points, increase it in Siberia and the Far East by 45% by the end of August. “The synergy of offline and online formats opens up a ton of opportunities: in our experience, traffic to stores with pick-up points grows by an average of 10% or even more,” commented Grigory Orlov, Ozon Infrastructure and Pick-up Network Development Director. 

Obuv Rossii launched the project “Online Order Issuing Points” in October 2018, and today it is collaborating with five companies. In total, more than 600 outlets were connected to the program through which over 100 thousand parcels were issued in the first half of the year. On average, on the Obuv Rossii network, online shoppers receive 650-700 packages per day.   

Project partners pay a commission to Obuv Rossii Group of Companies for parcels issued and accepted for return, as well as for each payment made. In addition, the company issues cards of its own loyalty program "Arithmetic" to all recipients of orders. The holding notes that in the first half of the year, the conversion into purchases of customers who come to receive a parcel and additionally purchase goods or services in Obuv Rossii stores amounted to 4,5%.

GC "Shoes of Russia" was founded in 2003, has its headquarters in Novosibirsk and an office in Moscow. The main business area is the production and trade of footwear and related products. The company operates 857 stores (166 are franchised) under the brands Westfalika, Pedestrian, Rossita, Emilia Estra and Lisette, and also develops footwear and clothing brands for an active lifestyle S-tep, all.go and Snow Guard and owns two footwear factories in the Novosibirsk region. Revenue for 2018 amounted to RUB 11,55 billion, net profit - RUB 1,33 billion, EBITDA - RUB 2,86 billion.  

Ozone Is one of the largest Russian e-commerce platforms, which presents more than 2 million product names in 24 categories: from books and clothing to food and health products. The company processes more than 100 orders daily. In 000, Ozon's sales turnover amounted to RUB 2018 billion.
