Shoemakers in Belarus will increase the production of leather shoes by 9,1%

The shoe manufacturer Marco intends to issue 2011 million pairs of shoes in the 4,2 year. This was announced by the Director General of the enterprise Nikolay Martynov.

According to the Bellegprom concern, this year Belarus shoe enterprises will increase the output of leather shoes by 9,1% to almost 13 million pairs compared to 2010-m. Marco will account for almost a third. Last year, the three shoe enterprises that make up Marco LLC produced 3,9 million pairs of shoes. The increase in production in 2011 is planned mainly due to the factory “Red October”. This year, the development of new models of shoes of the middle price segment will begin here.

The volume of production last year exceeded 900 thousand pairs. Moreover, all products are sold both in the domestic market and exported to Russia. At the "Red October" in 2010 year created 288 jobs. The total number of employees is about 1 thousand people.
