Shoemakers in Belarus will increase the production of leather shoes by 9,1%

Footwear manufacturer Marko intends to produce 2011 million pairs of shoes in 4,2. This was announced by the general director of the enterprise Nikolay Martynov.

According to the Bellegprom concern, this year shoe enterprises in Belarus will increase the production of leather footwear by 9,1% to almost 13 million pairs compared to 2010. Marko will account for almost a third. Last year, three shoe enterprises, which are part of Marko LLC, produced 3,9 million pairs of shoes. The increase in production in 2011 is planned mainly at the expense of the Krasny Oktyabr factory. This year, the development of new models of footwear in the middle price segment will begin here.

The volume of production last year exceeded 900 thousand pairs. Moreover, all products are sold both in the domestic market and exported to Russia. At the "Red October" in 2010 year created 288 jobs. The total number of employees is about 1 thousand people.
