OP RF will support patriotic designers

“It is in your competence - the competence of designers, the fashion sector - to teach and show that things made in Russia can be of interest not only to the fashion segment, but also to ordinary consumers. Small business is just the tool that allows all this to be produced, and not necessarily at large industrial enterprises: first of all, the issue of self-employment is resolved, ”Sazonov said, addressing the meeting participants.

According to the materials of the RF OP, in January of this year the decrease in imports of textiles and footwear to Russia amounted to more than 39% ($ 738,5 million). Sazonov recalled that now the issue of import substitution is key for the light industry: the main supplier of flax, Belarus, is taking advantage of the moment and raising prices. According to Sazonov, Russian manufacturers should replace Western trade brands that are curtailing their activities in the Russian Federation. “This is a definite opportunity and niche to enter these markets today,” he stressed.

Based on the results of the hearings, the members of the RF OP proposed to develop a program for the production of fabrics from domestic raw materials and measures to support the comprehensive modernization of the industry. They also advocate for the organization of the annual Fashion Week for Russian designers who create collections of a social orientation (patriotic, sports, environmental). In addition, according to the OP, it is necessary to create training programs in specialized educational institutions, aimed at national traditions in fashion. Regions, at the suggestion of members of the OP RF, should distribute subsidies to entrepreneurs, taking into account the interests of young designers, and also provide them with exhibition and stage sites for seasonal shows.

Sazonov promised to forward relevant recommendations to the RF OP to the government, relevant ministries and departments. In addition, the RF OP emphasized that they count on further interaction with designers and other representatives of the fashion industry and their initiatives.

“It is in your competence - the competence of designers, the sphere of fashion - to teach and show that things made in Russia can be of interest not only to the fashion segment, but also to ordinary ones ...
