Exports of other footwear also show growth. During the reporting period, Pakistan shipped 8,95 million pairs worth $22,65 million, up 33,98% in volume and 14,35% in value compared to the previous year. On the other hand, during this period, the canvas footwear segment recorded a decline of 7,75% in volume (80 pairs) and 24,64% in value ($540 million) compared to last year.
According to the World Footwear Yearbook 2022, Pakistan's footwear industry is the 7th largest in the world, employing about a million people. Mainly focusing on serving the domestic market, the country also finds markets in the US, Europe and Arab countries. China is Pakistan's main supplier.
