The American brand Palm Angels, once founded by Francesco Ragazzi under the influence of Italian fashion and culture, has released a collaboration with the Italian Tod's. The result of the collaboration was an updated version of the Tod's Tabs sneakers, which featured a palm tree in the design.
The toe box has been given a more modern look, with the Palm Angels logo in gold Lurex appearing on the tongue and back. Tod's T is embossed on the lace loop and back of the shoe, which also features Tod's signature Gommino grain detailing, while a black palm tree silhouette stretches across the sides of the shoe's contrasting white upper.
“Supporting Made in Italy is key for me, part of my own history, and I have a passion for quality products,” said Ragazzi, praising Tod's head Diego Della Valle for his belief in Italian craftsmanship. “Collaborating with Tod's is a milestone and a pleasure, and it teaches me a lot,” he added.
The Palm Angels x Tod's sneakers will be available in men's and women's sizes on Thursday at Palm Angels boutiques, Tod's and Palm Angels online stores, and select international wholesalers.
