Fiscal data operators will have the opportunity to collect market analytics, which, with the entry into force of the law from February 1 on February 2017, began to collect, store and transfer data from cash registers to the tax service (FTS) online, CNews reports.
So, one of the five licensed operators in Russia, the Platform OFD company has already set its sights on developing a separate business area for collecting, processing, analyzing and selling information, and is already developing the necessary software for this.
By accumulating information from checks, operators will be able to generate analytics about purchases by region, by time of purchases, by item, by average check. The main buyers of such analytics can be retailers.
According to the text of the amendments to the law 54-ФЗ, new cash desks, which through the mediation of operators will transmit information about purchases to the Federal Tax Service, will have to get all the companies that use cash registers when settling with customers. Also, innovations relate to companies selling excisable goods, online stores (they can rent cash desks remotely), companies that provide services using the system with a single imputed income tax (UTII) or the patent system. In addition, innovations will affect vending and vending machines, as well as payment terminals. From February 1 to 2017, the use of new cash registers has become mandatory for most merchants. The full transition of retailers to service using online cash desks will end on July 1 2018
