All Pitti Immagine events, including the Pitti Uomo men's fashion show, have been rescheduled from June to early September. Currently, all the efforts of the event organizers will be focused on the development of the Pitti Connect digital platform, writes Worldfootwear.com.
Event organizers analyzed the number of applications for participation in exhibitions originally rescheduled to early September, and considered it insufficient. This, combined with the problems that the business continues to experience, became the basis for the decision to postpone all Pitti Immagine events to January 2021.
"The decision was dictated by the operational and economic difficulties experienced by most manufacturing enterprises and retailers - shops, department stores, and the continuing uncertainty regarding movements from one country to another, including quarantine restrictions, which also affect the behavior of buyers from different countries," said Pitti Immagine president Claudio Marenzi. In his opinion, the decision of the exhibitors was also influenced by the long absence of gratuitous measures of economic support for participation in international exhibitions at the level of states and Europe.
As a result, in 2020 there will be no Pitti exhibitions and events (Uomo, Bimbo, Filati, Fragranze, Super), all the attention of the organizers will be given to the digital version of the salons, which will be available to all exhibitors - Pitti Connect.
