Such results were obtained by the Romir research company during the October all-Russian population survey. A previous similar survey was conducted by Romir Holding in 2014.
The study says that exactly a quarter of Russians, to cope with rising prices, redistribute the family budget in favor of increasing spending on food and necessary goods. And the exact same amount - 25% of the respondents, admitted that they buy clothes less often and reduce entertainment costs.
The number of respondents who refuse frequent purchases of clothing or spend money on entertainment, increased by 2014% compared to 8. In the oldest age category (60+) in this way they struggle with a price increase of only 16%. Among young people under 24 years old, exactly one third save on clothes and entertainment - 33% of respondents. Among income groups, people with average incomes often refuse shopping and going out - among them about one third of the polled Russian citizens (29%) said that this method of dealing with increasing the cost of goods and services.
Approximately one fifth of respondents (19%) have to give up expensive purchases in order to free part of the family budget, and only 8% of Russians indicated that they earn enough and can limit themselves to nothing.
Compared to 2014, the percentage of those who, in principle, do not save, has not practically changed.
