Russian Post has become the logistics operator of the online marketplace “Russian Shoes”

Russian Post will become the main logistics operator of the Shoe of Russia online marketplace and will deliver online orders to Westfalika retail outlets from the regional warehouse of the retailer, the Obuv Rossii GC press release says.

In March, Obuv Rossii in test mode launched an online marketplace based on the online store of its main brand Westfalika. The assortment of online marketplace is much wider than the list of goods presented in the traditional Westfalika retail. The retailer provided the opportunity to place an online order in network stores: for this, 30 stores located in the Siberian region and in which the project worked in test mode were equipped with special work areas with a computer and Internet access.

Pilot outlets are located in Novosibirsk and the region, Tomsk, Kemerovo, Barnaul and Biysk. The very next day or the day after placing the order, the goods delivered by Russian Post from the central warehouse to these stores are available for pickup.

“We are pleased to expand cooperation with the Russian Post. The company has the largest network of branches and is the largest express delivery operator in Russia, ”comments Timur Efimov, head of the Internet sales department of Obuv Rossii GC. - At this stage, the online marketplace warehouse is organized in Novosibirsk, so the delivery of goods to 30 test stores connected to the project will be carried out from it. Thanks to cooperation with the Russian Post, we will be able to offer our customers prompt delivery of goods to any convenient address, including to our stores, and to issue orders as soon as possible. ”

Obuv Rossii announced plans to develop an online marketplace based on the Westfalika.ru online store in February 2020. According to the company, this project will increase the efficiency of retail without increasing retail space, as well as expand the audience of online buyers at the expense of residents of small cities in which the level of penetration of online trading is not very high, and older consumers who do not yet have large online shopping experience. According to preliminary forecasts, in the next two years, an online marketplace when it reaches full capacity can increase retail revenue by more than 30%.
