The first post office was launched at Novokosino station, and before the end of the year, according to representatives of the Moscow metro, they will be installed at 20 points of the Moscow subway, in particular at Zhulebino, Lermontovsky Prospekt, Spartak, Strogino stations , "Business Center", etc.
As soon as the courier service loads the package into the machine, the buyer will receive an SMS notification, after which he will need to enter the pin code on the scoreboard, which is communicated to the client when specifying the delivery method in the online store. After picking up the order, the customer only needs to reproduce the signature on the touch screen with his finger to inform the seller about the receipt of the goods. "Due to the high traffic, the parcel machines will be in high demand, which will lead to a slight increase in the volume of shipments," comments Anna Matveeva, director of the DPD Central Region in Russia. However, market experts point out that for the system to work perfectly, it is necessary to ensure safety when using of parcel terminals, as well as the correct organization of courier access to terminals. In addition, the question remains, who will serve the parcel terminals: already existing logistics companies (Logibox, PickPoint and QIWI Post) or the "respected" Russian Post?
“In my opinion, only market leaders will be able to participate in this project - online stores selling all kinds of gadgets and other mobile electronics, which are in great demand among consumers. I doubt that medium and small retailers with niche goods will be able to enter the parcel terminals, "commented Mark Kapchits, founder of the courier delivery service bringo, in an interview with Rossiyskaya Gazeta.
