Attendance at shopping centers in the Russian capital in April this year exceeded the previous one, Kommersant writes with reference to Focus Technologies data.
Mall Index (reflects the number of visitors per 1 thousand square meters of retail space) in Moscow shopping centers in the week of April 3-9 exceeded the figure for the same period last year by 2%, in St. Petersburg shopping centers - by 5%.
Focus Technologies experts note that when analyzing the positive dynamics, one should take into account the effect of the low base of last year, when the attendance of shopping centers dropped sharply during this period. So the gap between the Mall Index and April of pre-pandemic 2019 in Moscow, according to the company, was 24%, in St. Petersburg - 28%.
