Yesterday, South Korean brand Post Archive Faction (PAF) showed at the Milan men's fashion show. "It's not a star being born, but it's certainly the biggest success of all the shows this week at Pitti Uomo," writes Fashion Network.
Post Archive Faction is a collection of tech-inspired urban wear that is very dark, quite moody and definitely very cool and modern.
“The name of the brand comes from the fact that our generation is lucky to have access to all these beautiful archives of art, fashion, or film, or any movement thanks to the Internet. So we can wander through these archives, explore them, and create new ones,” explained Dongjun Lim, the brand’s co-founder, during a preview of the collection.
The clothing collection features masterful use of fabrics, deconstructed tailoring, and interesting shoe models: Chelsea boots with a sprayed finish, Chelsea boots with a cut-up top in the form of long fringe, brogues with original stitching, hybrid brogue/sabre models...
PAF's arrival at Pitti follows the acquisition of a significant stake in the brand by major Korean conglomerate Kolon. The acquisition followed a successful collaboration between PAF and sneaker brand On, with around 90% of the collection sold out on the first day.
