The rules for the delivery of online orders will be installed in the Seventh Continent supermarkets

The management company Mkapital and the logistics operator PickPoint have announced the start of a project to create a chain of post-chains for delivering online orders on the basis of the Seventh Continent supermarkets and NAS shopping centers.

Postamats will become part of the infrastructure of our shopping centers and the Seventh Continent supermarkets, and this is more than 120 objects in the country. The project starts in December 2016 with the installation of the first 10 PickPoint postamata in Moscow retail of Mkapital management company.

According to Evgeny Plyakhin, PickPoint Network Development Director, his company is interested in increasing the number of postamates that recipients will have access to around the clock. According to PickPoint statistics, about 40% of online purchases are taken away by customers after hours, including from 22.00 to 08.00 - more than 5%. By placing posters in the Seventh Continent supermarkets operating 24 hours a day, the company will partially solve this problem.

In turn, Mkapital, through cooperation with PickPoint, plans to increase the efficiency of its retail space. Additional services are building up traffic in retail outlets, which is important in conditions of reduced purchasing activity and high competition in the food retail segment.

PickPoint postamata provide automated delivery of orders from over 5,5 of thousands of online stores and online hypermarkets, as well as delivery of business correspondence and insurance products. More than 3,1 million residents of Russia have already used PickPoint delivery services; according to the forecast, the total number of issued orders for 2016 can reach 4,5 million units.
