On June 16, the mayor of Moscow signed a decree obliging companies in the trade and services, catering, public transport and taxi sectors to vaccinate at least 60% of employees with the first component or single-component vaccine no later than July 15. However, due to interruptions in vaccines, the business does not have time to vaccinate staff on time and asks the mayor of Moscow to extend the period of the vaccination campaign for another month, Kommersant writes.
It is reported that, in addition to retail trade, the obligation to vaccinate their employees also applies to wholesale and distance selling companies. The compulsory vaccination decree appears to also cover manufacturers and suppliers as wholesalers. For violation of compulsory vaccination, individual entrepreneurs and legal entities face a fine of up to 300 thousand rubles, in case of a repeated violation - up to 1 million rubles.
A letter with a proposal to extend the period of mandatory vaccination of 60% of company personnel with the first component or a single-component vaccine against COVID-19 was sent to Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin by the Rusbrand association (unites PepsiCo, Nestle, Unilever, Procter & Gamble, etc.). It proposes to extend the period of mandatory vaccination by 15 August.
According to the Association of Retail Companies (ACORT), today the main obstacles to the implementation of the vaccination campaign on the specified dates are the lack of mobile vaccination stations, the limited capacity of permanent outlets and technical limitations of registration and data collection systems.
